Licenciada em Nutrição e Engenharia Alimentar em 2000, Doutoramento em Ciências da Saúde – Nutrição em 2007 com  a Tese: “Cancer: metabolic dysfunction, nutrition and Quality of Life” pela Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Llisboa, Licenciada em Ciências da Nutrição em 2010 e Mestrado Integrado em Medicina em 2012. Frequentou o curso de pós-graduação internacional em nutrição clínica em 2000. Frequentou o curso avançado em metodologias da investigação e análise de dados em 2001. Frequentou o curso de pós-graduação em imunidade, nutrição e saúde em 2003 nis EUA. Tem competência em Nutrição Clínica pela ESPEN. Tem competência em investigação clínica pela FMUL.

É membro do Comité Educacional e de Prática Clínica da ESPEN (European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism) como expert em nutrição clínica e metabolismo e membro efectivo da ESPEN Faculty, responsável por programas científicos e educacionais de congressos, conferências e cursos pré- e pós-graduados internacionais, bem como elaboração de guidelines em nutrição e medicina.

Desde há 6 anos integra o painel de docentes de cursos formação avançada em nutrição clínica e nutrição e cancro em colaboração 2 universidades europeias.

Desenvolve atividade clínica e investigação na área da nutrição, nutrição clínica, metabolismo, oncologia, Qualidade de Vida e outcomes, modulação da doença. É investigadora principal em projectos de colaboração a nível nacional e internacional com várias instituições de saúde, instituições de ensino superior e laboratórios de investigação.

Autora mais de 60 artigos científicos de investigação original publicados em revistas internacionais com peer-reviews e de mais de 50 artigos nacionais.
